A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

OK, that sounds like an old movie but I am writing as my own experience that I had on the night of August 12. My flight to Jeddah was supposed to depart at 6:15 PM but when I was in the line to get the boarding pass, I heard that it is delayed and the new time was 8:45PM, spending two hours on the airport wasn't a big deal until they announced that the flight is further delayed and will depart at 11:00 PM. That was really a shock (I really mean it!!!). Some of the passengers start complaining to the authorities and created a scene at the airport. That was my one of a kind experience. The next big shock came when they announced that the flight is further delayed and will depart at 1:00AM, they keep to their word (or may be trying to appease the anger of the crowd- that's what I think). We finally boarded and believe me I was bleeping( the F word) tired and was very glad that I will finally reach Jeddah. The Jetway detached, the plane moved a little bit until it reattached itself to the Jetway. This raised suspicion in some of the passengers. The end was that we were asked to leave the plane and go back to the departure lounge as the plane was having some "TECHNICAL" problems. The next time was 4:30AM which is going to be 6:30 AM. I am so bleeping tired now , all the anxiety is gone, in fact I was gonna have burst in to hysterical laughter, the situation infact is pretty hilarious. One more thing I had to eat a McDonald's Burger (YUCK!!!).

The only good outcome is that I bought a book by Richar Dawkins and was able to have some really good eye candy.

I am still sitting at the lounge waiting to get on board and reack Jeddah.

NIKON D5000: First step in a long exciting journey

It has been so long, so long that I have posted. Bought the Nikon D5000 on March 11th. Since then I have been trying to do different things with it. My long time passion has been to capture long exposure photography and I am doind it. Last night I took some long exposure shots of the Big Diper (BTW Big Diper is the part of Big Bear). I enjoyed every single moment of it and I really mean it. The Mizar / Alcor visual binary is visable that look stotally awesome. I am putting some of the night shots.
30 second shot of Orion in the desert, thats why so many stars are visible.

30 seconds exposure of Big bear, Mizar and Alcor are both visible.

3 min Exposure, and the star trails are visible.
